Our Mosquito Supplement plan is a one-time additional mosquito treatment for customers whose Mosquito Defense® plans have ended for the year yet continue to experience biting mosquitoes due to warmer weather sticking around for longer. Please call your local branch to see if this service is available in your area.

We guarantee our science-based treatment to be effective in controlling mosquito populations within 24 hours and with a significant reduction in mosquito population for as long as 30 days after your service. If you're not 100% satisfied with the results, we'll re-treat at no additional cost. That's our TruGreen Guarantee.◆

No. Because a well-maintained lawn leaves mosquitoes exposed to the sun and heat, a complete lawn treatment is unnecessary. Instead, we zone in on shrub beds and tall grassy areas. Those are a mosquito’s favorite spot!

Remove areas of standing water in your yard — including kids’ toys, plant trays, garbage cans, and gutters. Keep your grass trimmed and free of standing water to avoid damp spots that foster mosquito breeding. While these steps may help prevent mosquitoes, you can more effectively control the mosquito population on your property with our Mosquito Defense® plan.

If you received your Mosquito Plan Supplement service and it rained, do not worry. Normal rainfall does not impact the effectiveness of your treatment. TruGreen specialists are using and applying products in the most effective way that will not be impacted by rain. Also, remember that your service is guaranteed, so if you find that you experience biting mosquitoes between regularly scheduled treatments, notify us and we will treat your property again at no additional charge.

No. We maintain a buffer of 10 feet from any body of water on our customers’ properties. We call this buffer our ‘ring of responsibility’ in order to avoid our products from being applied too close to or in the water.

Absolutely! We do ask that you keep your pets inside your home on scheduled service days and keep them off a treated lawn until the application has dried.

After a service, TruGreen advises customers to allow the application to dry or dust to settle (for granular applications) before families and pets resume enjoying their lawns. Although highly dependent upon temperature and humidity, most liquid products TruGreen uses dry within 1–2 hours.

There is a rigorous selection process to choose the products we use. All products used by TruGreen are registered for use by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In many cases, our product selection criteria exceeds that of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
