He reminded us that during the summer your lawn may need a bit extra due to the higher temperatures. But remember, your lawn is fabulous – not needy. Overwatering can cause shallow roots and other problems, so don't drown it in affection!

The TruGreen specialist instructed the home dweller to watch out for lawn-damaging insects. He heard they could cause harm to my thriving oasis. He also mentioned their fearsome companion, weeds, which can overtake my lawn. 

Weeds like crabgrass and dandelions and pests like chinch bugs or grubs could be a real downer for lawns and would turn my lovely green home into something less green.
