TruGreen offers four core lawn care plans customized to different goals and preferences. Each is built to address unique lawn needs.  

TruPro℠ - Top Pick

Ideal For: Homeowners wanting the best possible lawn care for the best-looking lawn.

Highlights: Our most comprehensive plan, including all major treatments, periodic enhancements and premium attention for maximum results. It also includes one application of Lawn Stress Guard which helps water penetrate deeper into the soil during drought or dry conditions.

TruCore℠

Ideal For: A well-balanced, full-season coverage routine.

Highlights: Advanced, customized care with fertilization, weed control and proactive treatments to keep your lawn thriving.

TruNatural®

Ideal For: Those preferring organic or all-natural treatments.

Highlights: Revitalizes your lawn with all-natural, organic treatments that work gradually over time to create a greener, healthier and thicker lawn. Weed control is optional on this plan.

TruBasic℠

Ideal For: First-time or lower-maintenance lawns.

Highlights: This plan has essential fertilization, weed control and baseline maintenance which makes it a great first step toward a healthier lawn.

No matter which plan you choose, each begins with a TruGreen Lawn Assessment. During that assessment, we look at your soil, grass species, sun/shade patterns, drainage and past lawn issues. The TruGreen Guarantee® applies to TruPro, TruCore and TruNatural plans. If something isn’t right, we’ll return between scheduled visits to make adjustments at no extra cost. 

Your first service usually takes place within seven days of purchase - this can vary depending on what time of the year you sign up. To keep things smooth and transparent, be sure to set up your TruGreen My Account and download the TruGreen app (available in the iOS and Android app stores).

With your account/app, you can:

• Handle payments securely (and access discounts like PrePay).
• Get appointment reminders and real-time notifications.
• View your service reports, treatment details and progress history.
• Track how your lawn is improving over time.

Pro Tip: Using the app often helps customers stay connected to the process and follow recommendations more closely, which leads to better results. 

A TruGreen-certified specialist will lead your first service. All specialists complete rigorous training developed by our team of regional agronomists to ensure precision in treatment, timing and application.

We encourage homeowners to be present for the first visit (to meet the specialist and discuss goals), but it’s not mandatory. If you won’t be home, just:

• Unlock gates or access points.
• Keep pets indoors.
• Clear away toys or obstacles from the lawn surface.

You’ll still receive a full-service report, via the app or email, covering what was done and what to expect next. 

Lawn care is a journey, not a quick fix. Every yard starts from a different place — some need major recovery, while others are ready for fine-tuning. With regular service, patience and proper home care, your lawn will continue to improve over time. Here’s what to expect along the way:

• Short term (first visits): You may notice fewer weeds, richer color and early signs of new growth. These are the first steps toward restoring balance in your soil and grass health.
• Medium term (first year): The first year is all about building a strong foundation. As treatments take effect, your lawn develops deeper roots, a dense appearance stronger and improved resistance to stressors like heat, drought and pests. However, depending on the initial condition of your lawn, full transformation may not be visible yet - it could look worse before it looks better. Think of this as the groundwork for lasting health!
• Long term (second year and beyond): With consistent treatments and proper watering and mowing, your lawn becomes thicker, healthier, more resilient and will have fewer weeds. By the second year, most homeowners see the full benefits of a well-established lawn care routine, including fewer problem areas, less maintenance and a lawn that looks great season after season.
