Core Aeration

To maintain a healthy lawn following summer's heat and heavy traffic, your soil needs water, air and nutrients. Compacted lawns have no space to hold these components, and root growth is stunted, causing dead spots, patches and thinning.

Core aeration—or the removal of plugs of soil from the lawn—increases penetration of water, air and nutrients, loosens the soil to encourage root growth, and releases fungi and bacteria which help degrade thatch.

Overseeding

Overseeding follows core aeration to help promote turf density by introducing new seed to your lawn. Our experts recommend this service as an annual maintenance practice. It's one of the best ways to maintain a rich, healthy soil base, and helps to ensure maximum effectiveness of your regular lawn care applications.

Flea and Tick Control

As you probably know all too well, summer is peak season for annoying fleas and ticks. If there's an infestation in your lawn, your family pets may be at risk of itchy bites or even disease. And oftentimes, they act as unknowing carriers, bringing outside pests inside your home.

TruGreen ChemLawn - Gering will apply an initial treatment to your lawn to reduce active fleas and ticks. Then we'll apply two additional treatments for lasting control as eggs continue to hatch. These applications will help ensure that you get the benefits of a beautiful lawn without the bite of fleas and ticks.

TruShield Fire Ant Control

The TruShield Fire Ant Control program protects you and your lawn in three simple steps:

Step One: First we apply granular TopChoice™ to your lawn. This topical treatment actually permeates the ground to eliminate fire ants and prevent them from re-locating to a different area on your lawn.

Step Two: In the same service visit, we also treat high visibility mounds with a control agent for added protection. When you purchase TruShield Plus, your ornamental beds will be treated too.

Step Three: You water your lawn to activate our products and you will be protected for up to 52 weeks. It may take approximately 4 weeks for these products to become fully activated but if any mounds should reappear, we will treat your lawn again with our control agent.

Organic Lawn Care

Our organic lawn care program is a pesticide-free alternative to our regular lawn care service. Our Natural Nutrient Program includes all-natural fertilizers that stimulate root and shoot growth as well as turf greening and thickening.

Nuisance Pest Control

As you know, spring and summer are the peak seasons for annoying pests like fleas, ticks, spiders, chiggers, pillbugs and more. If there's an infestation in your lawn, your family and pets may be at risk of itchy bites or even disease.

Now is the time for Nuisance Pest Control. We'll apply an initial treatment to your lawn to reduce active pests. Then, we'll apply two additional treatments for lasting control as eggs continue to hatch.

Pruning

A little well-timed pruning goes a long way toward improving your landscape and protecting your investment. Properly pruned shrubs and trees grow healthier and more vigorously. Pruning maintains or reduces the size of the plant and removes dead, diseased, and/or broken branches.

Slit Seeding

Slit Seeding is our premium service where a specialized machine cuts slits into the soil in which turf seeds are sown following core aeration.

White Grub Control

Adult beetles lay eggs in your lawn that hatch into larvae called grubs. Grubs burrow into the soil to feed on grass roots. If feeding is severe, grubs can kill large areas of lawns.

The grub treatment is preemptive and must be applied during the early stages of the larvae growth to prevent an infestation.

Grubs are controlled most effectively in mid-summer to early fall when they have recently hatched and are feeding closer to the surface. Your Lawn Care Specialist will determine the best time to treat your lawn.
