Services Available From TruGreen - Cary/Elgin

Core Aeration

To maintain a healthy lawn following summer's heat and heavy traffic, your soil needs water, air and nutrients. Compacted lawns have no space to hold these components, and root growth is stunted, causing dead spots, patches and thinning.

Core aeration—or the removal of plugs of soil from the lawn—increases penetration of water, air and nutrients, loosens the soil to encourage root growth, and releases fungi and bacteria which help degrade thatch.

Lawn Care - Weed Control - Fertilization

Guaranteed to provide lush, visible results, your Lawn Care Program will include:

  • Seasonal fertilization and weed control based on your lawn's needs
  • Constant lawn monitoring and communication from your TruGreen Specialist
  • A thorough Lawn Quality Audit to measure your lawn's progress
  • Guaranteed results for a visibly greener and more weed-free lawn
  • A beautiful, healthy lawn you and your family can enjoy, with more time to enjoy it

Nuisance Pest Control

As you know, spring and summer are the peak seasons for annoying pests like fleas, ticks, spiders, chiggers, pillbugs and more. If there's an infestation in your lawn, your family and pets may be at risk of itchy bites or even disease.

Now is the time for Nuisance Pest Control. We'll apply an initial treatment to your lawn to reduce active pests. Then, we'll apply two additional treatments for lasting control as eggs continue to hatch.

Organic Lawn Care

Our organic lawn care program is a pesticide-free alternative to our regular lawn care service. Our Natural Nutrient Program includes all-natural fertilizers that stimulate root and shoot growth as well as turf greening and thickening.

Pruning

A little well-timed pruning goes a long way toward improving your landscape and protecting your investment. Properly pruned shrubs and trees grow healthier and more vigorously. Pruning maintains or reduces the size of the plant and removes dead, diseased, and/or broken branches.

Tree and Shrub Care

Our Tree and Shrub Care Program provides:

  • Proper nutrition to enhance color, improve leaf size, stimulate overall growth and increase flowering potential
  • Insect and disease treatments to control infestations and restore plant health and vigor
  • Targeted treatments to deal with specific threats to your plants
  • Careful pruning to restore your plants to their natural form and size
  • Selected services including a special application of horticultural oil to help your plants survive winter with minimum damage

White Grub Control

Adult beetles lay eggs in your lawn that hatch into larvae called grubs. Grubs burrow into the soil to feed on grass roots. If feeding is severe, grubs can kill large areas of lawns.

The grub treatment is preemptive and must be applied during the early stages of the larvae growth to prevent an infestation.

Grubs are controlled most effectively in mid-summer to early fall when they have recently hatched and are feeding closer to the surface. Your Lawn Care Specialist will determine the best time to treat your lawn.
